It’s a big night in the Chicago area as the Cubs open the postseason and the Stanley Cup champion Chicago Blackhawks start their season.
And I will be heading to my favorite watering hole to join friends and watch hopefully a double victory.
However, I’m set to record WYCC-TV in Chicago’s Wednesday night lineup of travel programs tonight (Oct. 7). Here’s where the shows are exploring this week.
8 p.m. (CDT) — “Rick Steves’ Europe” — This episode is called “North Wales: Feisty and Poetic.” Rick visits Mt. Snowdon, Victorian promenades and medieval castles. He climbs a mountain aboard a steam train and follows a miner into a slate mine. He also sees a demonstration of a dog herding sheep.
8:30 p.m. — “Joseph Rosendo’s Travelscope” — Joseph explores the Santa Ynez Valley in California and stops include a visit to the town of Santa Barbara.
9 p.m. — “Globe Trekker” — It heads to Puerto Rico and takes a look at San Juan, the El Yunque National Forest, the Camuy River Caves National Park and the coffee-producing highlands.
UNTIL NEXT TIME. . .
