Another Wednesday is upon us and if you feel in a Scottish mood or planning to visit there, tonight’s (Wednesday, Oct. 14) first program in the travel show lineup of WYCC-TV in Chicago is just for you.
8 p.m. (CDT) — “Rick Steve’s Europe” — Rick visits Edinburgh, Scotland. He visits the Scottish Parliament and Edinburgh Castle. He dives into local literature, tastes some Scotch whiskey and of course, tries a kilt.
8:30 p.m. — “Joseph Rosendo’s Travelscope” — Tonight’s episode is called “Winter and Summer in Newfoundland.”
9 p.m. — “Globe Trekker” — The show every now and then focuses on food. This episode is devoted to cheese. Cheese making techniques in England are shown and stops include the Cheese Makers Market in Beaconsfield, a farm in the Cotswolds and the oldest cheese monger in London. Cheese making is also explored in France, Italy, Switzerland and Spain.
