Yes, it’s the holidays. Looking for the gift of travel or someplace to go later this month? Or do you just want to escape to someplace else for a couple of hours? WYCC-TV in Chicago has another round of TV travel programs tonight (Wednesday, Dec. 2).

8 p.m. (CST) — “Rick Steve’s Europe” — Rick takes us to the Salzburg, Austria area. He gives a try at summer bobsledding. I actually tried that many years ago at a ski resort. It’s a blast. The episode also shows boat rides in the Salzkammergut Lake District and the romantic town of Hallstatt.

8:30 p.m. — “Joseph Rosendo’s Travelscope” — Joseph is in Custer County, Montana. He takes a look at a reenactment of the Battle of the Little Big Horn.

9 p.m. — “Globe Trekker” — It’s another installment of the show’s regular food hour feature. The tastes of New Orleans along with Vicksburg and Natchez, Mississippi are explored. There’s also a stop at Elvis Presley’s birthplace in Tupelo, Miss. And we are treated to a lesson in barbecuing pork at Presley’s Memphis residence, Graceland.
