Hello! I have returned to my blog and will try again to post on a regular basis. A combination of being busy both personally and professionally made me give “As The D.J. Turns” a rest.
It’s Wednesday, April 27 and that means another edition of what has been my most popular feature — a preview of the travel programs scheduled for broadcast tonight on WYCC-TV in Chicago.
8 p.m. (CDT) — “Rick Steves’ Europe” — It’s a tour of Croatia, Bosnia and Montenegro. Highlights include the medieval fortress city of Dubrovnik in Croatia, the city of Mostar in Bosnia and Montenegro’s Bay of Kotar.
8:30 p.m. — “Joseph Rosendo’s Travelscope” — Joseph visits the Canadian province of Alberta. Stops include the mountain village of Banff, Lake Louise and Jasper National Park. I was fortunate enough to visit these areas twice while in grade school and junior high. I’m sure this episode will bring out the sheer unmeasurable beauty of the area. But if you have a chance to make an actual visit, do so.
9 p.m. — “Globe Trekker” — This episode takes the viewer on a motorcycle journey along Ruta 40 in Argentina. Highlights of the trip include Salinas Grandes, Seven Colors Hills and Ticara, a city that dates back around 10,000 years. Other stops include pre-Columbian ruins in Pucara and the National Park of Leoncito.
UNTIL NEXT TIME. . .
