Here is a preview of the travel programs scheduled for tonight (Wednesday, June 8) on WYCC-TV in Chicago.

7:30 p.m. — “Weekend Explorer” — The show visits Laguna Beach, Calif., considered an artist colony by many. See the Pageant of the Masters which is a theatrical performance that brings works of art to life. There’s also a look at kayaking, skim boarding and swimming in the area.

8 p.m. — “Rick Steves’ Europe” — Rick visits Stockholm, the capital of Sweden. He also goes sailing in the Stockholm archipelago.

8:30 p.m. — “Joseph Rosendo’s Travelscope” — Joseph explores the Italian region of Friuli Venezia Giulia and tours that area’s wine country.

9 p.m. — “Globe Trekker” — East Texas is explored in this episode. Stops include a Fort Worth gun show, the Texas School Book Depository in Dallas and the oil fields of Kilgore. The show also looks at the Huntsville State Penitentiary, the Johnson Space Center in Houston and a July 4th celebration in Chappell Hill.
