I promise that “As The D.J. Turns” will never charge its readers a fee for checked baggage as they escaped to various ports of call with the TV travel programs scheduled for tonight (Wednesday, June 15) on WYCC-TV in Chicago.

7:30 p.m. — “Weekend Explorer” — Tonight’s stop is Punta Mita, Mexico which is a region north of Puerto Vallarta. Highlights include aerial acrobatics of humpback whales, snorkeling with tropical fish, surfing a local reef and driving an ATV into the jungle. There’s also some time set aside for fishing.

8 p.m. — “Rick Steve’s Europe” — Rick visits Helsinki Finland and Tallinn, Estonia which is just a two-hour boat ride from Helsinki. He checks out Helsinki’s neoclassical old town and its steamy saunas. Later, he explores Tallinn’s medieval charm.

8:30 p.m. — “Joseph Rosendo’s Travelscope” — Joseph visits Guatemala’s Maya highlands. He climbs some volcanoes, shops in some local markets, visits a coffee plantation, learns weaving techniques and visits Antigua.

9 p.m. — “Globe Trekker” — Tonight’s episode explores Eastern Canada.
