If it’s nice outside this weekend, get out and enjoy it. But you might want to warm the DVR for some TV that I think might be worth your time.
5 p.m. (WTTW-TV in Chicago) — “Rick Steves’ Europe” — Rick continues exploring the Netherlands, but beyond Amsterdam and all that is available to see and do there.
5:15 p.m. (CDT) (Turner Classic Movies) — “A Hard Day’s Night” — This 1964 film was The Beatles’ first and best movie with a great combination of music and dry humor.
5:30 p.m. (WTTW-TV in Chicago) — “Keeping Up Appearances” — Richard and Hyacinth attend an estate sale in the countryside. Liz and Emmet, thinking they were going to have a Hyacinth-free day, are shocked to find Hyacinth at the sale and do everything they can to avoid her. And the mixture of Hyacinth and “the Dowager Lady Ursula’s homemade gooseberry wine” doesn’t work out too well but with plenty of hilarious results.
UNTIL NEXT TIME. . .
