It’s Wednesday and that means a look at some of the world’s most interesting places with the TV travel programs scheduled for tonight (July 6) on WYCC-TV in Chicago.

8 p.m. — “Rick Steves’ Europe” — It’s the first of three episodes devoted to Rome. Tonight’s stops include the Colosseum, the Pantheon and Appian Way.

8:30 p.m. — “Joseph Rosendo’s Travelscope” — Joseph gives a look at India including the capital of Delhi and the ancient Hindu and Jain temples in Khajuraho.

9 p.m. — “Globe Trekker” — The program heads south with visits to New Orleans along with Vicksburg and Natchez, Mississippi. There are stops at Elvis Presley’s birthplace in Tupelo, Mississippi and to his Memphis residence, Graceland. The show also gives a lesson in barbecuing pork.
