It’s another fun TV trip tonight (July 27) with the travel programs on WYCC-TV in Chicago.
8 p.m. — “Rick Steves’ Europe” — It’s Part 1 of his two-part look at Florence, Italy. If you are a lover of art, Florence is the place to be and this program has plenty of art highlights including Michelangelo’s David, Botticelli’s Birth of Venus and Ghiberti’s Gates of Paradise.
8:30 p.m. — “Joseph Rosendo’s Travelscope” — Joseph visits the Australian state of Victoria. Highlights include the capital of Melbourne, the Shipwreck Coast, Victoria’s wine country and Grampians National Park.
9 p.m. — “Globe Trekker” — This subject definitely needs more that one episode. This Part 1 of a two-part look at architecture in England.
