Canada and Europe are the destinations for the. TV travel programs scheduled for tonight (Aug. 17) on WYCC-TV in Chicago.
8 p.m. — “Rick Steves’ Europe” — In the second and final episode of a look at Paris, Rick visits the Cluny Museum, takes a midnight Paris joyride in a classic car and shows us the artistic stained glass of Sainte-Chapelle. Also on the itinerary is the Pere Lachaise Cemetery and the Parisian cafe scene.
8:30 p.m. — “Joseph Rosendo’s Travelscope” — Joseph visits New Brunswick’s Acadian Festival
9 p.m. – “Globe Trekker” — The show visits Poland. We get to see a church where Pope John Paul II served as a young priest, a hunt for amber on the Pomeranian Coast, the baroque streets of Gdansk and a galleon on the Motlawa River.
